is the single most important maintenance service your vehicle
can receive.
- Most manufacturers recommend an oil change
every three months or 3,000 miles under severe driving
conditions - city driving stop and go traffic, short trips, and
dusty conditions - just about every case except steady highway
driving.
- 5W30 versus 10W30
- Virtually all new passenger vehicles sold
in the U.S. use either 5W30 or 10W30 oil. The difference
between the two is that the 5W30 flows better when cold, so
if you live in a cold climate or operate your vehicle in a
cold climate during the winter months, you should use 5W30
if it is the preferred oil for your vehicle. If you live in
a sub-tropical climate and don't operate your vehicle in
cold climates, then 10W30 is acceptable as long as the
manufacturer specifies that it is permissible to use it.

you consider that a properly proportioned fuel charge is 14.7
parts air for every one part of fuel. What is the basis for this
automotive respiratory-system neglect? Like so many things in
life, it comes from a combination of factors, not the least of
which is the need to put gas in our cars regularly while rarely,
if ever, dealing with the air-intake system. The average air
filter can go 10,000 miles without needing to be changed, but
the majority of us have to visit a gas station at least once a
week. But what, if anything, can the average consumer do to
improve his vehicle's respiratory system? Advanced Mobile Oil &

recommendations.

Blade Information: Your choice in wiper blade can have
a significant affect on just how well you are able to see during
such hazardous driving conditions as thunderstorms, torrential
downpours, and fierce winter snow storms. Highway driving in
such conditions is bad enough on its own, but when a huge
18-wheeler speeds past, leaving a muddy, dirty, slushy spray
across your windshield in its wake, you want it gone and your
field of vision clear as quickly as possible. And, that’s where
the quality of your windshield wiper blades comes in. A high
quality blade will make short work of that mess, while a low
quality blade will leave you squinting through smears,
detracting from your ability to see what’s going on ahead of
you. In moderate climates, wiper blades should be replaced every
6 to 12 months approximately. In climates with extreme heat or
cold, the time between replacements may be significantly
shorter, depending on the type of blade selected. Many living in
regions with more challenging weather conditions choose to
upgrade to silicone blades, as these tend to be more durable and
better able to withstand harsh conditions— don’t wait until the
rubber is cracked and you’re seeing streaks on your windshield.

- Tire Pressure: Under or over-inflation can
result in irregular wear, loss of control and accidents. A tire
can lose up to half of its air pressure and not appear to be
